I was trained at Gloucestershire College of Art and Design.
With the commercial art department in Gloucester and the fine art department in Cheltenham. I was trained as a commercial artist and the influence of graphics is still evident in my paintings.
I started work as a packaging designer in a studio with twenty five other artists who were a great inspiration to me. Although we were working on the packaging of some famous brands, nearly all the artist were also painters. Some of who have now found success in the world of fine art.
My career continued within the commercial art industry and I have been fortunate to have worked with some great photographers, illustrators and writers. But I have continued to paint whenever I could find the time.
I can now devote all my time to writing and painting, following my passion for all things creative, sharing my ideas and work with my friends and followers.
It’s a different world to when I started work as packaging designer, but the joy of working in oil paints while sat at my easel is greater now than it has ever been.
